The Lamaze DONA Conference in Kansas city was amazing. The speakers and sessions were fabulous. The exhibitors were excellent. Best of all, the time between the sessions were filled with wonderful networking with birth professionals. I have put together a video with my highlights from this awesome event below.
Take a peek at our video and find out more about my experience as a speaker, meeting my customers in real life and what it is like to bump into birth celebrites like Penny Simkin, Debra Pascali-Bonaro and Gail Tully.
More pics for you include:
Alice with 3 of the doulas from the Doula Collective of Tulsa.
Doula Sarah Goebel honored us by wearing the tshirt she purchased from us. LOVE THAT!
Don't forget to check out my Pinterest presentation blog and infographic.
Hold on to your seats! This isn't my only blog about the conference. Stay tuned for more to come including highlights from the speakers and sessions.

I loved this conference. I loved the people, the atmosphere, the speakers, the food even. I learned so much, buckled down and actually created a blog and then decided to write about the conference on the blog. See how that circled around?
It was so fun to meet you Alice and I’m just tickled to have been one of those Oklahoma girls mentioned on your vlog.
Enjoy!

I so badly wanted to attend, but wasn’t able to make it. Hopefully next time! Looks like everyone had a fantastic time!

I was there and it was great to meet you! I learned so much attending and can’t wait to put some new skills to work that I learned in my spinning babies session. Love my new peanut ball cover that I purchased from you! Polka dots rock!

I had a fantastic time networking, learning and of course having fun! It was an honor to meet you…I was the lady who wants a doula apron made outta your special printed material, like the one you have? It speaks volumes as to the avenues each of our clients can take, and the tools we can help themimplement ( or be the implementer) on the way to a safe and healthy, happy birth memory!

It looks like you had an awesome experience, Alice! It’s inspiring to see how you turn your passion for birth work to a business that is great for you and great for other doulas.

It was wonderful to talk with the exhibitors, network with people during lunch and refreshment breaks, and attend excellent sessions…only wish there had been opportunities to attend duplicate session presentations offered at different times!.

It was wonderful meeting you at the conference! I have attended conferences “virtually” in the past and I was thrilled to be able to attend. Your session on Pinterest was great and I am working on implementing it for my business. It was an honor to meet you!

I wasn’t able to attend the conference, unfortunately, but am anxiously awaiting next year’s conference season. I have already started saving to attend the conferences next year and cannot wait!!!

It was great to see you again (I met you in Cancun!) and to see how much your business has grown. I enjoyed your Pinteret presentation and I LOVE that you are on the Lamaze board. Thank you for your service.

I was not able to make this conference, but I have been a part of starting a doula collective in Abbotsford and hope to send some of our doulas to conferences like these. It sounds like a really great networking opportunity.

It was awesome meeting you and sharing ideas. I learned so much from you and am watching you even more closely!! I don’t even know where to start with how mind blowing the session was. A few of the workshops were key in inspiring me to make some really positive steps in my business, and I totally agree with you about the in between parts. Getting to talk one on one with Kim James and get some insight from her about projects I’m working on was monumental for me. It was so helpful talking to doulas in other cities and markets to see what they’re doing, what the trends are, how they run their businesses. Eye opening to say the LEAST!

I’m so glad I was able to attend the conference and hear your presentation about Pinterest. I’m looking forward to building our boards with our OB staff so that we can provide moms with quality information and inspiration for positive birth experiences!

I would love to have attended. I am a new doula so these types of events would be so great to be able to go to. Networking and hearing the speakers would have been great.
