If you ever get the chance to meet your doula/birth heroes in real life ask to get a picture taken with them. Penny Simkin sat down next to me at one of the sessions at DONA in Cancun. I was tweeting the conference and had my iPad in hand. I just couldn't resist asking for a photo. She was very kind as always.
